MH&W Engineered Planar Cores
The U.S. has seen a strong growth in the design-in and production of planar cores. Both TDK and Epcos has a broad range of core shapes and sizes including shapes designed specifically for Planar. One of the most commonly used shapes has become the RMI (RM core and plate) core set.
Over the past 10 years there are several RMI cores that have become prevalent taking into account the leg length and coil depth to correspond to specific circuit board thickness. MH&W has put together several combinations of RMI planar cores that are in common use in the NAFTA areas. These planar cores are in stock and available for sales and modifications if needed.
